Chad Taylor

Big Business Chad Taylor "The Big Business"

Chad Taylor, very knowledgable in the sport of wrestling and longtime associate of Rob Yublind, became the A-team commentator when Scotty Hanson's performance on the mic was deemed to be less than stellar. "The Business" seized the opportunity and takes his job very seriously, as noted by his khaki pants and tie. And for the record, he Is NOT related to "The Red Rooster" Terry Taylor. Taylor is the play-by-play man on Mid-South home videos and DVD's and lives by a very simple creed: "You'd better handle your business before The Business handles you..."

Death Row Inmates

Death Row Inmates Jason Maxx & Willie B. Badd (managed by Jenna Justice)

Facts: First-ever PWF Mid-South Tag Team Champions; Convicted on charges of rape, murder, arson, assault with a deadly weapon, extortion, armed robbery, and rape

After 7 years of summarily beating the crap out of each other in Brushy Mountain State Prison, Badd and Maxx decided to combine their efforts and collectively ruled their entire cell block. Their antics made headlines in Memphis, which caught the eye of Rob Yublind, who was on a business trip. The ethically-challenged owner of PWF Mid-South saw promise in the havoc the Inmates reaked, and he immediately made arrangements to have the pair released. Did we mention that they were convicted of rape?

With the Yublind's filthy money greasing the hands of the parole board, Badd and Maxx packed their bags and headed to Mid-South territory. Yublind's personal recommendations, along with footage of an unprovoked bar fight (filmed expertly in STU-vision), immediately saw the Inmates in the thick of PWF Mid-South's tag team ranks.

Badd and Maxx are known for their brute strength and utter domination of their often smaller opponents. The two usually tag each other into a match with a blatant slap in the face. Badd specializes in power moves, while Maxx is known to systematically break down opponents, clearly exposing himself as the more technically sound of the two. He also likes to do the talking and often smacks his partner to shut him up during backstage promos.

Now that their raw violence has been steered towards the world of PWF Mid-South, no tag team is safe. For that matter, neither are the fans, of which the pair are known to assault from time to time. As for the other wrestlers, just hope they don't drop the soap while they are in the shower.

Jason Extreme

Jason Extreme Trained by Kid Kash and Chris Hamrick, Jason Extreme is an extremely young and talented athlete here in PWF Mid-South. He likes to use high-risk offense and many aerial moves, including a breathtaking moonsault to the outside of the ring that gets some serious hangtime. Extreme certainly lived up to his name when he became the PWF Mid-South Junior Heavyweight Champion in July of 2002. Following his performance in the main event of "Endurance," he never wrestled for PWF Mid-South again.

Jason Lynn McCamey died on January 16, 2007. The events surrounding his death preceeded the eerily similar Chris Benoit murder/suicide that would occur later that year. Read more here.

J.P. Blunt

JP Blunt Hailing from the often-defamed Garden State, Blunt grew up with a hunger for everything wrestling. After viewing matches featuring the Great Muta, this Jersey boy executed his first moonsaults at the age of 10.

After a few minor incidents resulting in a lengthy juvenile record, Blunt took all of his negative energies and used them as fuel in his pursuit of a wrestling career. He studies tapes for hours on end when he's not watching his idol Jason Mewes in various Kevin Smith films. Snoogens.

J.P. Blunt specializes in high-risk offense with a variety of planchas, splashes and (you guessed it) moonsaults. He is no stranger to brawling, either, as he is well-versed in steel chair warfare. Blunt is willing to throw caution to the wind to get ahead in the business. Blunt's style is fast, flashy, and often hard to keep up with. Now that he's arrived in PWF Mid-South, he plans on setting the pace for his fellow Junior Heavyweights.

Loco

Loco a.k.a. "Kidd Krazzy"

From: Tijuana, Mexico
Born: 1979

Weight: 190 lbs.
Trained by: Mr. Fuji
Finisher: Cherry Popper (Top rope belly-to-back suplex)
Trademark Moves: Loco Driver, Frog Splash
Titles Held: PWF Mid-South Junior Heavyweight
Rivals: Menace, Jason Extreme
Fact: Wrestled against Menace in Pottstown, Pennsylvania (as Kidd Krazzy) in a match to determine the first-ever PWF Mid-South Junior Heavyweight Champion. Krazzy and Menace feuded for one year before their ladder match on January 19, 2002.
Additional Fact: Is neither Mexican nor Puerto Rican nor fluent in Spanish

Menace

Menace "The Blackanese Assassin"

Legend has it that Rob Yublind and Menace toured every continent in the span of one week and won world titles on every one of them (including Antarctica). Menace was awarded the MULTI-CONTINENTAL NEW GENERATION JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. After this staggering achievement, Menace returned to Tennessee to settle some unfinished business and proceeded to destroy every opponent that got in his way.

With training in martial arts and a knowledge of Japanese and lucha libre styles, Menace has incorporated a variety of original maneuvers into his repertoire. Menace was a member of Team Greatness along with Rob Yublind, stuCAM and Robbie Race, but split from the group following his loss to Kidd Krazzy in a ladder match.

The Phoenix Foundation

Phoenix Foundation Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, Ryan and Brian Phoenix were trained by Kid Kash and Chris Hamrick and are former holders of the PWF Mid-South Tag Team Titles. Ryan's favorite maneuver is the Wabash Cannonball (Swanton Bomb), and Brian's finishing move is the Ruffrider (a combination pedigree/rocker-dropper). Their trademark move as a team is a unique slingshot spear maneuver known as the "Brass Monkey." The brothers feuded briefly against one another but eventually buried the hatchet and reunited at "Meltdown."

Ray Vandal

Ray Vandal Now hailing from The State of Euphoria, Ray Vandal was once a happy and content journalist/photojournalist at a newspaper located in Tennessee. Then harsh reality struck and he lost his job. Instead of moving on and trying to find another job, Vandal suffered a nervous breakdown and was sent to a mental asylum in Memphis. While in the mental illness facility, an unknown individual visited Vandal and looked at his portfolio of pro wrestling articles and pictures of cemeteries and burning houses. The mystery man liked what he saw and "convinced" the hospital's board of directors to release Vandal on probation. The unknown benefactor also got a job for Vandal at PWF Mid-South as the promotion's columnist and photographer. It is theorized that Rob Yublind knows the identity of the man that has let this lunatic out on the streets, but Yublind refuses to discuss the subject.

Regardless of what his charts might say, Vandal is insane. He is on at least five medications and is forced to see a psychiatrist on a weekly basis. The madman claims to have a worldwide network of informants that keep him up to date on the latest news. Vandal frequently talks about his friend Kojar the jub jub bird, although there doesn't seem to be anyone in the PWF Mid-South locker room that knows what a jub jub bird is.

Vandal has an obsession with the Phoenix Foundation. He is convinced that Brian and Ryan Phoenix are the sum of all evil and that they work black magic. If it rains - the Phoenix Foundation are to blame. If there's a tornado - it's all the fault of the Phoenix's. To Vandal, the Phoenix Foundation are the root of all of his problems. After all, he certainly couldn't be to blame for his own problems, or at least that's what Vandal thinks. His delusions are getting worse and he is slipping farther from reality as each day passes. PWF Mid-South might want to keep an eye on Vandal - there's no telling when this psychotic could snap.

Rich Kavana

Rich Kavana "Money, hoes and clothes is all that Rich Kavana knows."

Rich Kavana doesn't like white trash. Actually, Rich Kavana thinks most people are white trash since, after all, they aren't Rich Kavana. Living off a trust fund set up by his parents when he was just a little baby smartass, Kavana decided that his one quest in life was to show the rest of the world just how much better he was than all of them. In the ring, he would finish his opponents off with the "Undertow," which looks suspiciously like Jeff Hardy's swanton bomb, a move that Rich Kavana swears Jeff Hardy stole from him.

The other voice of PWF Mid-South is most famous for teaming with Shane Williams as the tag team Anarchy. During a match with the Death Row Inmates, Rich sustained a severe concussion while his partner left him high and dry to become the Inmates' bitch. Since Kavana never learned how to throw a punch properly, he suffered a severe beating from the Inmates but would later exact revenge on his former partner. However, Williams got the last laugh in a Retirement Match, so now Kavana is forced to watch the action instead of participating in it.

Rich Kavana can be heard insulting the wrestlers and fans of PWF Mid-South on the commentary of our DVD's.

Rob Yublind

Rob Yublind Throughout his entire life, Rob Yublind has made money by exploiting people. Lots of money in fact. Rob was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. After high school, he quickly learned that women were nothing but objects for men to use and then throw away like garbage. Noticing the vast number of whores in Knoxville (specifically in the college sorrorities), Rob quickly manipulated the young women into turning tricks for his own personal gain.

Bypassing college for a career as a pimp turned out to be a great move as Rob was rolling in the dough...as well as in the hoes. However, he was forced to leave town when a scandal involving a Baptist minister, two hookers, a sheep, and a porno flick hidden inside a Bible landed Yublind's picture on the front page of the local paper with the headline: "Porn King of Knoxville."

But Rob had already made his money and moved to Florida to live the good life. Already heavy into the "adult entertainment" industry with strip clubs all over the south, Rob decided to become a wrestling manager after a chance encounter with the wrestler who would become known as Menace. Only one thing could bring Rob Yublind back to the godforsaken state of Tennessee...and that was Menace.

The mere sight of Rob Yublind made many sick to their stomachs. His pompous and arrogant attitude only solidified those feelings. He was nearly booed out of every arena he steps in. Of course, it didn't help that he refered to the fans as trailer park trash and poster children for abortion. One thing is certain: he has guided Menace to new heights in his career...while sinking to new lows in the process.

After manipulating the young son of Gene Goodman (promoter of Southeastern Championship Wrestling) into selling his half of SCW, Yublind changed the name of the company to PWF Mid-South and seized control of the company. Rob ushered in new talent, including Menace. But the ungrateful Menace ditched Rob Yublind, leaving the former manager to concentrate on the backstage affairs of PWF Mid-South. Rob Yublind is not seen much anymore, but he is always up to something.

Yublind seems to have reformed his ways and now runs PWF Mid-South as a legitimate wrestling company. He and Menace seemingly have buried the hatchet. Is the new, fan-friendly Rob Yublind a permanent fixture? Or, does a leopard never change his spots?

Robbie Race

Robbie Race "The Big Gun"

Robbie Race has a bad attitude and makes sure that everyone knows it. He is intent on making his mark by destroying everyone in his way. Trained by the great Mr. Fuji of WWF fame, Race has the training and background to get it done in the ring. He also isn't playing with a full deck...but don't ever say that to his face.

In early 2002, Race feuded with Dave "The Science" Pillman in a series of matches. Though he came up short in the majority of them, he eventually took the title from Pillman in a brutal "First Blood" match in which he shattered a glass light tube over Pillman's head. As champion, Race added a devastating finishing move to his arsenal: the "Dead End."

Claiming to be the illegitimate grand-son of Harley Race, "The Big Gun" has a personality all too himself. He is the innovator of the catchphrase. Granted, most of what he says does not make the slightest bit of sense, but it makes sense to the "Big Gun" and that's all he cares about.

Scotty Hanson

Atomic Chronic "Atomic Chronic"

After two years of wrestling throughout the greater Tennessee area, "Atomic" Scotty Hanson met promoter/manager Mr. Rob Yublind. Rumor has it that the Atomic one pushes dope for Yublind, but those rumors have yet to be proven. Nonetheless, Hanson is an occasional commentator for PWF Mid-South and also works matches as he sees fit to from time to time. Hanson is known for throwing fireballs at his opponents and spitting the "Purple Haze" mist into their eyes.

Scotty Hanson has a background in amateur wrestling from Bearden High School in Knoxville, TN where he often wrestled in higher weight classes than he qualified for. Hanson is also the second-highest paying customer in Mr. Rob Yublind's gentleman's clubs.

Shane Williams

Shane Williams "Everybody's Favorite Wrestler"

Growing up in Orlando, Florida, Shane Williams was the most popular guy everywhere he went. He grew accustomed to people liking and looking up to him. In high school, Shane was the star on all of the teams that he was on: basketball, amateur wrestling, football and tennis. Shane routinely grew disgusted with his teammates, feeling that he was too good for the team and that he would always be stuck with picking up their slack. Shane never stayed on a team for long and desired to find something that wouldn't involve putting up with losers. Shane moved from Florida and, for whatever reasons, decided to learn the craft of pro wrestling in East Tennessee.

Shane started wrestling after only three months of training. Promoters across the region were impressed with how knowledgeable he was about the squared circle. His all ready oversized ego grew even larger and his winning streak didn't help matters. Shane soon teamed up with fellow Floridian Rich Kavana, forming the tag team Anarchy.

Anarchy won several regional tag championships and at one time, were unstoppable - until they went to the PWF Mid-South tag tournament that was held in Whitley City, Kentucky, in January. In the first round of the tournament, Anarchy faced the Death Row Inmates. Anarchy was destroyed by their competition and Shane blamed Rich Kavana. Anarchy soon broke up and began a feud with each other that escalated into an all out war. At "Burning Fury" Shane defeated Rich Kavana in a "career match", thus proving, to himself at least, that he was the superior athlete.

Shane is egotistical, self-sufficient and undeniably charismatic. He considers himself "the entertainment" of PWF Mid-South and feels that he is now unstoppable since he has retired Rich Kavana. He is currently setting his sites on the PWF Mid-South junior heavyweight title. But wait, we're talking about Shane Williams, he probably won't feel satisfied until he's won all of the PWF Mid-South titles. Even if that were to happen, it might not be enough for the self-absorbed wrestler.

Shawn Shultz

Shawn Shultz "Stunning"

In his own words: "I first started watching professional wrestling when I was five years old. The lights, glits, glamour, and the thousands of people at a live event captured my attention from the start. One of the main things that I really appreciated the size of these men and their athleticism that they put on display to entertain the crowd. Even then when I was five I knew I wanted to wrestle for the rest of my life.

I followed that dream and I began training under a man named Scott Bishop at the age of 18. Scott is somewhat of a legend in Tennessee, so I was lucky to get a trainer that had been around and knew what he was doing. Eventhough I had been a fan for so long I didn't know what to expect, and trust me you may think you know the business but you have no idea until you're in it, but Scott made me feel comfortable as I was training. I trained and practiced under Scott every day for months before stepping in the ring for the first time.

Another man that helped me break into to the business was a man known to wrestling fans as Jason Wrecker. He helped me understand a lot of the business part of wrestling. Finally, once i got in the ring it was the greatest feeling I've ever felt. Even now every time I step into the ring I learn something new."

The Spur

The Spur What can be said about "The Spur" that hasn't already been said about jell-o? Spur quickly became a legend by virtue of the fact that he was the only referee in the South who could actually count to three in 3 seconds. Originally known as The Sperm, the name was quickly modified due to fear of retaliation from the Spur. After all, Spur demands respect. He doesn't take crap from anyone and has often won a shoving match with such superstars as Menace and Robbie Race. He has also been on the receiving end of a cookie sheet and superkick, so he takes his share of punishment.

Spur is a trooper. Did you ever see that movie Unbreakable where Samuel L. Jackson plays a guy whose bones are brittle and break really easily? That's Spur. He's fragile but fearless. One night following the first match of the show, a tag team that was none too happy about getting beaten decided to take their frustrations out on the defenseless Spur. Spur underwent hip replacement surgery and was back by the third match to referee that same night.

However, it is Spur's popularity that often causes him problems. He is perhaps the most over guy in the entire federation which rubs a few of the boys in the back the wrong way, including one Squeaky Herman. Spur and Squeaky are Mid-South's dueling referees and often interfere in each other's officiating jobs to prove which one is the best official in the federation. The Spur defeated Squeaky in a legendary arm-wrestling match, but the proposed match between the two never happened. It was probably for the best; after all, if the Spur & Squeaky were to wrestle, who would be the referee?

Spur the won hearts of the fans one night when he proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of the ring during a drawing for a door prize (second prize was an autographed Menace tape). It is also rumored that Spur is the father of many illegitimate children throughout the Tennessee area, but paternity tests have proved inconclusive.

Squeaky Herman

Squeaky Herman While Squeaky has impecible credentials as a referee, he certainly is not over in PWF Mid-South. In fact, when Squeaky is officiating, chants of "We Want Spur" loudly echo throughout the arena. While there seems to be no heat between the referees, Squeaky's attitude toward the fans certainly isn't very friendly. "They smell bad," he says. "There was something invented a long time ago called soap...maybe these rednecks should look into it." He hails from Clearwater, Florida, where he says, "the water is actually clean and the fish only have two eyes...unlike in Tennessee." Squeaky refereed his first match on February 7, 2002 in Oliver Springs, TN (Menace vs. Ryan Phoenix).

Squeaky's motto: "I don't just call the match fair or right down the middle...I call it squeaky clean." But not everyone thinks Squeaky is a good official. Robbie Race gave Squeaky the "Dead End" on two separate occasions, the latter of which snapped Squeaky's spine in half. Luckily, a generous fan donated a spine for the necessary transplant...but only so Spur could have a breather in between matches. Squeaky hates The Spur with a burning white passion, so much so that he challenged him to an arm wrestling match... and lost. Squeaky, a sore loser to the end, gave Spur the "Squeaky Clean Kick," knocking The Spur off the ring apron and into the fans.

stuCAM

stuCAM "The man behind the cam"

The elusive former member of Team Greatness, Stuart "The Stooge" Pidasso was hired by Rob Yublind in Florida in order to document Menace and Rob Yublind's every moment of greatness in the summer of 2001. Stu had previously attended the University of Tennessee, but didn't want to be known as a loser his entire life, so he transferred to Florida. Rob and Stu met on Stu's 21st birthday in one of Yublind's Miami strip clubs. Within a matter of hours, Stu had blown his entire college tuition on booze and strippers. Rob Yublind took notice of this young man who had purchased 20 lapdances in a single night. The two discussed their Tennessee connection, wrestling, and a wrestler Rob had recently met. Stu was promised lots of money and women if he would follow them around filming Yublind and Menace's every move...so far, he has received neither.

However, STU split with Rob Yublind when Menace laid out his former manager on January 19, 2002. stuCAM left with Menace, leaving Team Greatness with only two members. Menace, apparently fond of Stu, named one of his moves the "STUplex."

Stu had cultivated his style of videography and editing into an artform and was subsequently hired by GX Media's film department. Rob Yublind could not deny STU's skills, so he hired stuCAM to film and produce all of Mid-South's home videos and DVD's. Stu films the ringside angle on all the PWF Mid-South shows and can always be seen in his trademark bucket hat. He is truly "the eyes" of PWF Mid-South.
