Welcome to the Archives of the Xtreme F'n Old School
PWF Mid-South may be just a memory, but you can relive its glory days via this website. The Premier Wrestling Federation Mid-South was a professional wrestling organization that ran shows in East Tennessee from 2001-2002. Although no longer active, the contents of the old PWF Mid-South website have been archived here as a tribute to the promotion. On this website, you will find out everything you ever wanted to know about this short-lived Southern fed, including who wrestled here, complete match results, title histories, photo galleries, videos, links to purchase PWF Mid-South DVD's and more. Check out the History page for more information.
The Complete PWF Mid-South Now Available Online
You can now watch every PWF Mid-South show online, absolutely free! Relive the entire history of PWF Mid-South, including all the highs and lows, from the heavyweight title tournament in Kentucky to the "Meltdown" in Oliver Springs. These are the original videos that stuCAM shot, edited and sold at the live events. As a special bonus, you can also view the "Menace: Birth of Greatness" video, as well as PWF Northeast "Convergence," both of which are official "canon" in the PWF Mid-South universe. For those of you who have never seen a PWF Mid-South video, watch "Burning Fury." Check it out right now in the streaming video gallery. Come on, what are you waiting for?
Buy PWF Mid-South DVD's from GX Media
After all these years, PWF Mid-South DVD's are still available! Head on over to the GX Media store and satisfy your nostalgia fix by picking up a copy of your favorite PWF Mid-South show. There's even a few PWA DVD's mixed in there for those of you who like that sort of thing. While it is true that you can watch the shows online, the DVD's are better quality and most of them feature bonus footage that is not available anywhere else. In addition, the web versions of "A New Era," "Endurance," and "Meltdown" are edited; the complete versions of each of these shows are only available on DVD. Plus you get a nice shiny case and a color insert, and who doesn't like that, right?
The Team Greatness Archives
Menace, Rob Yublind and stuCAM comprised the original "Team Greatness," and if you don't believe me, check out the archived Team Greatness website, which features everything you ever wanted to know about the Blackanese Assassin and his posse. The website was originally created as a promotional vehicle for the "Menace: Phase One" VHS promo tape, which in turn, was created as a promotional vehicle for Menace himself. Some of the clips from the "Phase One" video were used in the bizarre "Transmissions" film, one of stuCAM's post-wrestling avant-garde projects. Nonetheless, the website still functions as an unofficial page for Menace, and includes biographies of the three men directly responsible for the creation of PWF Mid-South.
He May Be Retired, but He's Still Rich... and You're Not
After losing a retirement match to Shane Williams, Rich Kavana settled into his role as color commentator for PWF Mid-South home video. But like any retired professional wrestler, Kavana didn't stay retired for long. In fact, Rich had quite the wrestling career between his numerous retirements... enough to fill three whole DVD's in fact. The Filthy One paid stuCAM to produce a trilogy of Rich Kavana videos documenting his entire career, from his humble beginnings to his, well, humble endings. You can read more about it here, watch some video trailers here, and buy the DVD's here.
What Happened Next? The Rise and Fall of the Premier Wrestling Alliance
From out of the ashes of PWF Mid-South rose the PWA. After taking nearly a year off after the "Meltdown" debacle, Rob Yublind started the Premier Wrestling Alliance, the spiritual successor to PWF Mid-South. Most of the roster returned, and stuCAM even filmed the first show. After that, there is almost no mention of the East Tennessee-based PWA wrestling organization anywhere on the internet. Even the Wayback Machine from 2003 and 2004 has sparse information about the PWA. stuCAM produced three DVD's for PWA, including their final show, which was also the last wrestling show Stu ever filmed. Information on these DVD's can be found here. PWA quit running shows in May 2004; Rob Yublind never promoted again.
